Powertrain
Volvo V60 Powertrains
Available in four trim levels (Momentum, R-Design, Inscription, Polestar Engineered), the Volvo V60 offers two engine options:
- T5: Standard across the V60 lineup, this turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel-drive.
- T8 Polestar Engineered: Exclusive to the Polestar Engineered trim, this hybrid powertrain adds an electric motor to a supercharged and turbocharged engine. Matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel-drive, this prodigious powertrain produces a combined output of 415 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque.
The Volvo V60's Cross Country variant exclusively uses the T5 powertrain.
Trim Levels
Volvo V60 Trim Levels and Notable Features
Well-equipped across the lineup, the Volvo V60 offers a complete ownership experience no matter the trim level. Three primary trims and two variants are available:
Momentum
Though it's technically the base trim level, the V60 Momentum's feature set is anything but entry-level. It includes many premium features that other models often reserve for the upper trims. Highlights include selectable drive modes, panoramic sunroof, automatic LED headlights, automatic high beams, 18-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, leather upholstery, and 10-way power-adjustable front seats.
Technology features include a Volvo Sensus Infotainment system with 9-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite radio, a 10-speaker sound system, and numerous advanced driver-assistance technologies.
Momentum models can add two available option packages. The Premium package includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear parking sensors, auto-dimming, power-folding mirrors, keyless entry, and a universal garage opener. The Multimedia package adds a navigation system and a 14-speaker premium Harman Kardon audio system.
R-Design
This performance-inspired trim adds unique interior and exterior sporty aesthetic enhancements and includes the Premium and Multimedia packages as standard equipment. Additional features include sport seats with power thigh-support, unique 18-inch wheels, fog lights, interior ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, and leather dash trim.
Inscription
With a features list similar to the R-Design, this luxury-inspired trim adds exterior chrome accents and unique wood details in the cabin. The Luxury package is exclusive to the Inscription trim. It includes ventilated and massaging front seat, and power-adjustable side bolsters.
Cross Country
The Cross Country Variant features a taller ride height than the standard V60. With 8.3-inches of ground clearance and extra body cladding, it offers slightly improved capability off the road. The V60 Cross Country is equipped similarly to the Momentum trim, with the addition of standard blind-spot monitoring.
Polestar Engineered
This high-powered variant takes wagon performance to the extreme with a Twincharger hybrid powertrain and upgraded suspension and braking components. Fully loaded and engineered to perform, the V60 T8 Polestar Engineered has very limited availability.

Available on all V60 models, the Advanced package includes a surround-view parking camera system, headlight washers, a head-up display windshield projection, and Volvo's Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system with adaptive cruise control.
