Our History
The Lehman Motors Automotive Group dates back to the 1930s, when Earl B. Lehman began his very first used car business in Lawn, Pennsylvania. Over the next few decades, Earl B. Lehman purchased and managed several automotive franchises, including Volvo Cars in York in 1997. Prior to Earl B. Lehman's purchase, the Volvo store in York was owned by Triangle Motors since 1958, making Lehman Volvo Cars of York one of the oldest stand-alone Volvo dealerships on the East Coast. Lehman Volvo Cars of York has a sister Volvo store in Mechanicsburg.

Community involvement is a big part of who we are!
Below is a list of community events and organizations we continually support:
- The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania: A sponsor in the 2021 Christmas in July fundraiser, which raffles off a new Volvo XC60 T8 Plug-In Hybrid while raising funds for the NFP
- Protect the Gifts Car Seat Campaign: Donates up to 50 car seats to families in need during the holiday season. Our team partners with Safe KidsPA to insure every car seat is safely installed.
- PA Breast Cancer Coalition: Donates funds for every car sold in the month of October since 2016.
- Volvo Club of America Capital City Chapter: Co-hosts annual fall Volvo car show with local VCOA chapter to raise funds for club and local organization.
- Sunshine Kids: Supports the annual Berkshire Hathaway car show to benefit the Sunshine Kids organization
- York City Little League/YMCA of York: Supports the York Revolutions Brooks Robinson Golf Tournament raising funds for these two great youth organizations.
